The Others Great Temples In Khmer Kingdom.

The greatest legacy is Angkor, in present-day Cambodia, which was the site of the capital city during the empire's zenith. The majestic monuments of Angkor — such as Angkor Wat and Bayon — bear testimony to the Khmer empire's immense power and wealth, impressive art and culture, architectural technique and aesthetics achievements, as well as the variety of belief systems that it patronised over time. Recently satellite imaging has revealed Angkor to be the largest pre-industrial urban center in the world.

Banteay Samre Temple

Banteay Samre temple was built under the reign of King Suryavarman II to consecrate to Hindu. The temple was built mixed in sand stones and laterite stones.

Ta Nei Temple

Ta Nei temple is located in the deep forest in the Angkor Park. It is the best preserved as it was found. It is really quiet and less crowded with peaceful atmosphere.

Prasat Pram Temple

Prasat Pram is located in Linga Pura ( current Koh Ker ). It is one of the highlight temple among hundred ruins there. The temple was built in 10th century by ruler king Jayavrman IV to dedicate to Hindu, god Shiva. It was made of bricks and sand stones for the pediments, lintels, frame doors, and windows. The temple is best preserved as it's firs found.

Baphuon Temple

Baphuon temple was built on land filled with sand, and due to its immense size the site was unstable throughout its history. Large portions had probably already collapsed by the time the Buddha was added.
